Biography
Tara Miller has completed her Masters in Counselling from Gonzaga University. Combining her graduate school training with post graduate, advanced certification in Self-Regulation Therapy (SRT) from the Canadian Foundation for Trauma Research and Education (CFTRE), Tara runs a private practice in Kelowna, BC while writing, speaking, and teaching to other therapists and health related audiences across North America. Her recent case study published in the June, 2017 edition of the Journal of Complementary and Integrative Medicine highlights the efficacy of SRT in treating complex trauma and concurrent disorders for long term resiliency and health. Tara is invited to speak on chronic pain and the brain, athletic performance, holistic mood regulation and more by complementary health experts; guest lectures on SRT to graduate school classes of future counselors, and assists the CFTRE in training programs for SRT. She is currently creating online resiliency based programs for Postpartum Depression, Child and Youth, and Entrepreneurs based in neuroplasticity and brain science principles.
